Course description

In this practical project, you’ll learn how to implement a reliable backup strategy for AWS EC2 instances using AWS Backup—a fully managed, policy-driven backup service. Starting with launching an EC2 instance (if needed), you’ll navigate to AWS Backup, create a custom backup plan, define backup rules, and assign specific EC2 resources for protection.

You’ll explore how to use backup templates, configure retention policies, and automate daily backups without manual intervention. By the end, you’ll have a working backup plan that ensures your EC2 data is recoverable in case of accidental deletion, corruption, or regional failure.

This project is ideal for cloud administrators, DevOps engineers, and IT professionals responsible for AWS governance, compliance, and disaster recovery.

Additionally, all learners receive dedicated online support through our Slack workspace where you can ask questions, get troubleshooting help, and interact with our team throughout the entire project.
